INSURANCE

It is strongly recommended that clients purchase cancellation insurance to protect themselves against cancellation due to illness prior to or during travel. In the event a traveler becomes ill during a tour and has not purchased insurance, all hospital and medical expenses are the traveler’s responsibility.

Insurance MUST be purchased within 7 days of individual client deposits or payments being made and only covers non-refundable client money held by the supplier. If the group cancels prior to final payment and supplier fees being applicable, due to the required minimum numbers not being reached, the premium is refundable providing no claim has been made. In all other cases, the premium is non-refundable.

Rates: All rates are subject to reconfirmation at the time of the policy being purchased. We will be happy to quote current rates, however, these are not guaranteed until the policy is purchased.

PASSPORT & VISA INFORMATION*:

Please ensure clients have arranged all documentation with the appropriate consulate well in advance of their departure from US and that passports are also valid for the minimum validity required for ALL destinations being travelled to. The information following only applies to the itinerary booked with Goway Travel and does not cover any independently arranged destinations.

  • PASSPORTS

Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from your scheduled return date.

Please ensure you have the correct documentation with you ready for check-in, security clearance and the boarding gates. For international travel, government regulations require all travelers over 16 years old to be in possession of a valid (return) air ticket, a passport and visa and health documentation (if required). Travelers without the necessary documents will be not be allowed to board to avoid flouting immigration rules. Customers travelling to international destinations must ensure that their passports are signed on the space provided at the bottom of the page that lists contact details. This is a requirement from various Immigration Authorities which you must adhere to.

MUST Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from your scheduled return date.

Please note that visitors who wish to travel to South Africa must have a machine readable passport that is valid for at least 60 days after their intended return date from South Africa.

MUST have sufficient blank pages in passport. These pages must be completely blank, this is a requirement. This blank page does not include the page reserved for Observations, Amendments or Endorsements.

It’s important to note that non-South African passport holders must have at least two (1) completely unused visa page for entry or departure endorsements by South African Immigration Service in their passport. Government regulations prohibit airlines from boarding travelers without the required blank visa pages, even if you hold a valid ticket and a valid passport.

Please note that if you are traveling to other countries, you will need additional blank pages.

TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN TO SOUTH AFRICA

Recently (May 2024), the requirements have changed for travelling with children to South Africa. For more details please visit: Information

Further documentation could be required by airlines, please check with them individually.

  • VISAS

Visa requirements applicable to this quotation are as follows: At the time of this

quotation, there is no visa requirement to South Africa for US citizens. Clients are

required to have two consecutive blank pages in their passport for South African arrival documents or they will be denied travel.

*Applies to US passport holders only. Please make sure that all destinations to be

visited or transited verified with the applicable consulate(s) for entry requirements prior to departure, together with requirements for anyone traveling on non-US passports.

HEALTH INFORMATION:

COVID

Your travel arrangements could still be impacted by COVID. It is your responsibility to keep yourself and members of your traveling party (travel companions) informed of, and meet, all requirements in relation to your trip and any COVID based restrictions. We suggest these are constantly monitored prior to, and until your trip is complete, as they can change at any time, even while travelling overseas. The purchase of travel insurance with Covid coverage is highly recommended.

Traveling with medicines

Some countries have restrictions on traveling with medicines (prescriptions and/or nonprescription). It is the traveler’s responsibility to check these requirements.

In the= event of any additional fuel surcharges by the Land Suppliers and/or airlines, we reserve the right to add these to the costs of the land package and/or airfare.
