Single Parents Who Travel’s 4th Annual Family Vacation!

Costa Rica

June 30 – July 5, 2022

Single Parents Who Travel explored Costa Rica for its 4th annual family vacation at Dreams Las Mareas, a 4.5-star all-inclusive luxury resort in the Guanacaste province. More than 40 kids and grown-ups across the U.S came together to enjoy the local hot springs, spa, ATV, zip line, nightlife entertainment such as fire dancing and firework displays, clubbing, group dinners, other SPWT organized activities, and a whole lot more!

“I’ve done two trips with Tomika and the group going to Cancun and to Costa Rica. The thing about it is that as a single parent, I love traveling with my daughter. However, sometimes she got tired of me. So it was great to go out and to be with a group that I could trust; that sometimes my daughter could be out with friends that she met and they’ve actually become good friends with her and she’s asking about them all the time. I could be with parents who were in similar situations who love to travel, but they were also single parents. So this is a great organization and a great way to travel for your summer to add it into your plan.”

Single Parents Who Travel’s 3rd Annual Family Vacation!

JULY 14-JULY 18, 2021

Single Parents Who Travel traveled to Mexico, for its 3rd annual trip! Single parents from across the U.S. traveled to Riveria Maya, a stretch of Caribbean coastline on Mexico’s northeastern Yucatán Peninsula known for its all-inclusive resorts, including the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, where they stayed! Our families enjoyed a private cocktail reception, pool parties, water park adventures, group dinners and more!

I want to thank Tomika for creating this amazing group. Shortly after joining my teen daughter and I traveled with the group to Riviera Maya, Mexico. Although I was bit nervous about my first international trip with her, once we got to the resort we had a blast! My daughter found her tribe and I felt like I barely saw her after that. She cannot wait until we go on the next group trip this summer!

It has truly been a pleasure and an honor to spend time with amazing parents! It lets me know I am not alone in the world [as a single mother] and have sooo much in common with great people all over the world! Looking forward to dancing the night away at the next adventure!

Brittany Hilson

This was one of the most enjoyable trips we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to do it all over again. Great group of kids and adults.

Single Parents Who Travel’s 1st Annual Family Vacation!

Caribbean Cruise

Single Parents Who Travel embarked on its first annual group trip in 2018, traveling to the Bahamas, St. Maarten and Puerto Rico with the European cruise liner MSC! Guests took full-advantage of its time on and off the ship, participating in SPWT game nights, movie nights, group dinners and bowling, among other activities, when members weren’t exploring the beaches of each of the beautiful islands.

The Summer 2018 cruise with Single Parents Who Travel was memorable. While I enjoyed exploring each island with my child, it was beautiful to experience this with so many parents who understand traveling along with their child. It was a blessing to have not only other parents look out for your child like they were their own, but the older children looked after the younger ones like it was second nature. By the end of the trip my daughter had more cousins than she could count. To this day my daughter still talks about collecting shells with her “cousins” at the beach in St. Maarten.
